Finally got us all upgraded and current and (mostly) working right. There are a couple things left to do, but they are minor and I’ll work on them as I can.
I gotta tell you, this upgrade was not as smooth as any other WordPress upgrade I’ve done. For some reason I was (un)lucky enough to be one of the people who couldn’t get the new media uploader to work out of the box. I’ve been messing around with the stupid thing for weeks now and finally found a fix that works well enough to get us upgraded. It’s not perfect, but it works. And other than that I’m extremely pleased with 2.5 so far.
I found this picture on the internet and the beauty of the setting literally made me catch my breath. A scene like this is what I envision when I think about my escape from society. When I look at this picture I can see the small cabin behind me surrounded by nothing but trees and, most importantly, no other houses in sight. And nothing more on the lake than some ducks and geese. I picture a long tree-lined dirt driveway leading up to a 2 lane country road that takes me into town.
