Another style change here at Muted Lunacy. Whatever, right? Sorry but I just can’t seem to settle.

Big Changes at Muted Lunacy

As I’m sure you can see there have been some major changes here. I decided to bring this back to a simple blog. Kind of keep the whining in one place and the lighter subjects elsewhere. With the introduction of the Pry-To Portal and the myriad of sites under it’s umbrella I thought I would expand as it were. It started with moving the Twisted Visions Gallery over to Darkness Visible and went from there. You will now find all the extras that used to be here such as The Book Nook, Recipe Box, The Screening Room and possibly the Video Vault (although I’m not sure I’m going to be keeping that) along with the Lyrics section and My Web Archives over at Gothic Twitch.

So yeah, that’s about it for now. There are links to all the other sites that are in the Portal over in the sidebar. Check ‘em out if you want. There will probably be some tweaking here and there over the next day or two but other than that…we’re live!

Why am I never satisfied?

In my never-ending quest for the perfect look for my site, I am once again trying a new layout. I don’t know why I constantly feel the need to do this, but I do so I guess I have to give in to it. I originally started this layout for another site I’m currently working on and somehow it got moved over here to Muted Lunacy. I like it a lot but it probably won’t stay forever. And now I have to come up with a new look for the other site to boot. It never ends I tell ya!

My ultimate plan would be to come up with themes of my own completely from scratch, but for now all I’m capable of doing is modified someone else’s themes. So for now I need to content myself with that. Hopefully someday when my “Plans for Financial and Personal Freedom” come to fruition I’ll be able to devote the time required to learn all I need to know about theme making.

Upcoming changes to Muted Lunacy

I’m not going into details just yet, and most people probably won’t even really notice any difference but I will be doing work on the site. It probably won’t really happen until after I’m back from my trip but I’m hoping to ramp things up here a bit. I’m not even sure how to exactly go about what I want to do but I’ll figure it out eventually. Add some things, move things around and so forth. Again I don’t want to give too much away, mainly because if it doesn’t work out I won’t look so stupid.

So if the site is down now and again you’ll all know why.

Some new clothes for Muted Lunacy

In my usual “never happy always looking for something different” way, I’m trying a new style here at our little site. When this style was started it was called Sadness but at some point was changed to Echoes. I’ll live with it a while and see how I feel.

Edit: I’ve gone back to the original style. Not sure why.

Our humble site, Muted Lunacy has been featured in the Options Theme Showcase. Wow. This blows me away, as does the theme itself. It’s really amazing, all the options that are open to you are all a mouse click away. There really isn’t any code editing that needs to be done, Justin Tadlock has made personalization and customization as easy as possible.

So thank you Justin. This is an honor.

And just a note: I am currently in the process of upgrading both the Options theme AND WordPress to the newest versions. I’m going to apparently lose some functionality in a couple things, mainly WP plugins and will get it all straightened out eventually. Patience is required.

Introducing “Twisted Visions”

I finally found a good photo gallery plugin that I’m happy with, so I added the Twisted Visions Gallery on Muted Lunacy. So here is the obligatory blurb:

I like pictures. I have accumulated many many gigs worth over the years and thought that I would love to share them. There isn’t a lot of rhyme or reason to any of them, just what I like. I’ll try to group them as best I can. I really don’t know where they came from anymore so if anyone ever sees anything that is theirs please drop me a line and I’ll either credit you or remove them, whichever you’d prefer.
