I finally got my gravatar working properly. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong until I realized it was just a setting here on my WordPress installation. Okay so I feel stupid now, BUT IT’S FINALLY WORKING!!!!!

In my never-ending quest for the perfect look for my site, I am once again trying a new layout. I don’t know why I constantly feel the need to do this, but I do so I guess I have to give in to it. I originally started this layout for another site I’m currently working on and somehow it got moved over here to Muted Lunacy. I like it a lot but it probably won’t stay forever. And now I have to come up with a new look for the other site to boot. It never ends I tell ya!

My ultimate plan would be to come up with themes of my own completely from scratch, but for now all I’m capable of doing is modified someone else’s themes. So for now I need to content myself with that. Hopefully someday when my “Plans for Financial and Personal Freedom” come to fruition I’ll be able to devote the time required to learn all I need to know about theme making.

The Photo Gallery

As I posted earlier, when I upgraded my WordPress to 2.5 the photo gallery plugin I was using wasn’t compatible. The plugin author finally upgraded it and with the help of some folks on his site I’ve finally got it working! I am very excited as this was the only plugin that fulfilled all my requirements.

So I am slowly getting the Twisted Visions Gallery back up to it’s former glory. Bear with me as I try to fit this in among the other stuff that’s taking up my time.

Upcoming changes to Muted Lunacy

I’m not going into details just yet, and most people probably won’t even really notice any difference but I will be doing work on the site. It probably won’t really happen until after I’m back from my trip but I’m hoping to ramp things up here a bit. I’m not even sure how to exactly go about what I want to do but I’ll figure it out eventually. Add some things, move things around and so forth. Again I don’t want to give too much away, mainly because if it doesn’t work out I won’t look so stupid.

So if the site is down now and again you’ll all know why.

Some new clothes for Muted Lunacy

In my usual “never happy always looking for something different” way, I’m trying a new style here at our little site. When this style was started it was called Sadness but at some point was changed to Echoes. I’ll live with it a while and see how I feel.

Edit: I’ve gone back to the original style. Not sure why.

Our humble site, Muted Lunacy has been featured in the Options Theme Showcase. Wow. This blows me away, as does the theme itself. It’s really amazing, all the options that are open to you are all a mouse click away. There really isn’t any code editing that needs to be done, Justin Tadlock has made personalization and customization as easy as possible.

So thank you Justin. This is an honor.

And just a note: I am currently in the process of upgrading both the Options theme AND WordPress to the newest versions. I’m going to apparently lose some functionality in a couple things, mainly WP plugins and will get it all straightened out eventually. Patience is required.
